Project Description

This garden of approximately 600 m², surrounds an elegant home in the heart of the city. Designed as an intimate and magical space for a multigenerational family, the project combines the visual cleanliness of interior design with the functionality of a family garden. With a strong oriental influence, the commission focused on harmony and aesthetics, creating a place where nature and architecture intertwine. Every corner reflects care and precision, offering a space for conviviality and contemplation that honors the constant flow and evolution of life.

Design Concept and Philosophy

The Papilio Garden symbolizes transformation and movement, inspired by the shape and essence of butterflies. The design combines straight lines and organic shapes, playing with warm colors such as the peach of the pool, the brown of the decking and the red lacquer of the architectural elements. The garden combines tradition and modernity, reflecting the harmony between natural materials and advanced technology. Each space invites you to reflect on the constant evolution towards a higher good.

Cascades Fountain

Three-height walkable fountain, with black stone, stainless steel and a geometric design surrounded by Japanese maples.

Garden Surroundings

Lateral transition with geometric plantings of boxwood, strawberry and orange trees, integrating nature and design.

Pool - Pond

Dual zone with deep water for adults and a shallow beach-style area for children, functional and visually appealing.

Main Porch

Practicable space with illuminated steel spheres, which houses a bust of Buddha.

Creation Process History

The creative process was intuitive and disruptive, focusing on an axial composition that favors horizontality and frames the pagoda as a focal point. Vertical species such as cypress and liquidambar balance the design, while noble and modern materials such as stone, wood, stainless steel and classic lacquers combine to create a unique space. The integration of lighting technology and oriental details adds a sophisticated character, transforming the garden into a canvas of carefully orchestrated beauty.
