Project Description

Located in a generously sized home in the heart of the Spanish capital, this terrace combines small spaces with a unique bespoke design. Key areas were transformed, including an outdoor terrace, an interior niche next to the main entrance and a patio of light that illuminates a bathroom and a library. This unique project elegantly addresses the aesthetic and functional needs of every corner, creating an urban oasis in a vibrant environment. The careful integration of nature and design turns this terrace into a refuge where the vegetal and the architectural dialogue in perfect harmony.

Design Concept and Philosophy

The design of this terrace reflects the precision and balance between the geometric and the natural. Inspired by Renaissance and Oriental concepts, it combines the elegance of structured design with the delicacy of ordered vegetation. The vegetation colonization of the spaces is resolved with vertical gardens and seating areas that visually connect with the city, creating a serene and sophisticated environment.

Creation Process History

The process was developed using modules designed to be assembled on site. For the terrace, stone modules were created with suspended bamboo and custom planters complementing the glass railings. At the main entrance, a niche module included a vertical garden and integrated fountain. Finally, the light courtyard was designed with an exotic garden on the ground and another suspended in the air. This modular approach allowed for a flexible design and precise installation that maximizes the use of each space.
